Fireworks and the boat ride: what May to October means for your night
The boat is seasonal, the fireworks timetable moves and the weather has the last word.
Reserve your night at the falls ↗What can and cannot be counted on
| Part of the night | What to know |
|---|---|
| Boat ride | Runs May through October only |
| Fireworks timetable | Varies from year to year |
| Fireworks display | Depends on the weather on the night |
| Dinner and the Illumination Tower | Part of the evening whatever the date |
The boat has a season
The Niagara City Cruises fireworks boat operates from May through October. Evenings outside those months do not include it.
The timetable moves
The fireworks schedule varies from year to year, so a date that had a display last summer may not have one this summer. Check availability for the exact evening.
The weather decides
Every fireworks display is subject to weather conditions. A night with a display is a good night, and a night without one is still a dinner and a visit to the Illumination Tower.
What the itinerary sets aside
The itinerary has about an hour for the boat and fifteen minutes for the display. These are reference times and itineraries can change.
If you travel outside the season
Look at the Power Station, tower and dinner evening. It has no boat on its itinerary and adds the Niagara Parks Power Station and a tunnel to the base of Horseshoe Falls.
If the boat is all you want
The evening fireworks cruise is a separate 40-minute booking from Niagara Falls, Canada. The gates to the boarding area close sharply before departure, and late arrivals are not admitted.
